The Vintage Cabernet Vertical is a favorite of ours. We recently opened our last three bottles while entertaining out of town guests. We enjoyed the complexity of your wine as we have so many times in the past. My guests had only one disappointment. These were my last three bottles of Murphy wine on our wine rack. When can we get Murphy wines on the east coast? It’s been difficult to wait for the 07 release. I’m a big fan of the 04 and 05 cabs. Unfortunately, the 04 is unavailable. I still have about 15 bottles left of the 05 Cab (out 36), which is clearly my favorite. The 05 is Bordeaux like – a little vanilla, a little strawberry, voluptuous. The 07 is an amazing vintage in Napa and now I get to taste my favorite vintner’s interpretation. I’m sure it will be as wonderful as the others!
It’s no surprise that it’s earning awards and the price point can’t be beat.

I recently enjoyed my first tasting of the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon at a dinner party in the company of great friends. I experienced such a visceral reaction - great mouth feel, coating and delicious, that stood out abruptly from the other tastings we enjoyed that evening. It was an extraordinarily crafted wine that I'm looking forward to experiencing again.

Who is Peter Murphy? That is the comment I have heard when I bring the bottle out. The comments quickly change to wow where did you get this and how fantastic the bottle was. I am a cab person and '06 is just perfect.

I had the pleasure to meet Peter at the Vintner's Market in San Francisco and try his amazing 1998 and 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. The 1998 had a wonderful mouth feel and a nice finish. Though not a long finish, it was such that it had me going "damn, that's the cab taste I search for". For the price point, the 1998 will not disappoint.
The 2006 drank like a $80+ bottle. It was a wonderfully full bodied and a nice long finish. It had big black berry,currant, leather and plum taste. Very complex and everything held together very well. I tried over 50 cabs at the Vintner's Market and I would have given the 2006 the 1st place prize. 95+ points in my book!

Last night we had the pleasure of enjoying your 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. It was such a pretty and flavorful wine. I love red wine and fell in love with your cab last night. I could taste the cherries and vanilla at first sip. It was delicious. I am a fan!

I had the pleasure of tasting the 1997 and 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Library Releases and both were FANtastic! Incredibly smooth, these are truly spectacularly aged wines. I'm looking forward to picking up a few more bottles at the next Vintners Market. The price point does not do this wine justice and would easily score 100+ on my personal wine scale!

I'm gearing up for my 5th two-case order of Murphy Vineyards wines.
The 2005 Cabernet and Meritage are outstanding -- the best. I was
disappointed that the 2004 Cabernet Sav is now unavailable -- quite
honestly, I don't want the 2005 Cab Sauv to disappear. I had a great
new years -- except when I ran out of budget wine and had to open up a
3rd bottle of 2005 Cab Sav to keep the party going. :-)
As I've mentioned previously, you've got to try the vintage cab deal
just to experience wines from 98, 99, 00 at an affordable price.
Order a case and sample the lot. Then, come back and order a case of
what you like best!
For mere mortals entering a wine shop, you can't find Napa Cabs at these prices!
Keep it up....I'm looking forward to the next red release.

I had the pleasure of tasting your wines this past November at Fort Mason here in the city. I purchased a few, all were good, but the 2003 Cabernet was outstanding! One of the best I've ever tasted and the price point incredible. I've tasted hundred dollar wines that can't come close to the flavor. I ordered a case of it and my only regret is I didn't order more, but will and want to try the other year Cabs as well. Thank you for making an extraordinary wine affordable, I will be a loyal customer!

I can't buy enough of their 1998, 1999 & 2000 Cab....made in the original style of great 100% Cab, which you rarely see these days and never at such price points. They look and taste so good right now with still great fruit that they may last another decade. Don't make your biggest mistake and pass up the opportunity to grab this rare find.

My wife and I have been avid wine drinkers for the last 2 years with a tight budget. This October, your 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley was introduced to us by a gentleman at the Gallery Market at Union Square as a sleeper. This wine was being compared to other Cabernet's in the $200 + price range for obvious reason. When we got back to our home in Las Vegas and opened our "sleeper", we were amazed by the aroma and taste the wine gave off. We are now very happy customer of Murphy's Vineyards and, thank you Peter and Kevin Murphy for this outstanding Cabernet!

I live about ten minutes away from the Wineries in Temecula and enjoy wine tasting quite often. At the LA Fair I randomly pick Murphy Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Late Harvest out of a list of 300 wines to try and it was honestly the best wine I have ever had. I have been telling everyone I know about this wine, I just wish it was sold where I am. I plan on buying a case to give as gifts for Christmas this year.

I had the pleasure of trying the wines of Peter Murphy Vineyards at a wine tasting at Fort Mason a few weeks ago. I finally got around to opening one of the 2003 Cabernet's that I bought and it is even better than I remember it to be! The wine is exceptionally well balanced and exhibits all of the desired characteristics of a few years of age. A must buy!

I’ve been making wine for about ten years, driniking it for about forty. I love late harvest white wine (after drinking some dry red or white wine with a meal). However, high-quality sauturnes and the likew are usually a little pricey for me. Murphy late harvest sauvignon blanc is as good as it gets and, for me, it’s affordable. I’m about to purchase my first-ever case of late harvest white wine.
This is the 4th time I've ordered from Murphy Vineyards. It is difficult to find 2003 - 05 Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon yet alone at this quality and at these price points.
I've tried the entire suite -- except the savignon blanc, which i'm trying in my next order. Check out the entire suite. Have fun tasting the Vintage Cabernet Vertical. Cabernet Savignon from 98, 99? You
can't access that. And, it's such a great value.
From what I read 2004 Napa Cab Sav scores higher than 2005. I love them both, but I can't get enough of the 2005. I'm partial to it and when I give a bottle as a gift, the 2005 is most preferred.

Hi, The 2008 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc tasted just like honey. It's the most interesting wine I've ever tasted and was the best wine that I tried at the 2010 Angel Island Wine Festival.

The 2008 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc Sierra Foothills is delightful! I only drink dessert and Muscat wines. When I tried this one at the Family Wineries Tasting, all I could think was smooth, sweet, and tasty. I only wish that I had some right now. Please start selling in San Diego .

I recently had a chance to try the 2008 Late Harvest Sauvignon at the San Francisco Vintner's Market. I love dessert wines, and this was smooth, sweet, slightly syrupy, and had a great flavor! I really enjoyed it, and was definitely disappointed I didn't bring home more. This is an awesome dessert wine!! I wish I could find some down here in San Jose! :-)

I have never been much for a desert wine, but love a good Sauvignon Blanc. [The 2008 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc] is a marriage of sweet after dinner and robust southern wine. The sugars bring out a slight caramel flavor with notes of pear and nutmeg. It is the perfect wine for a fall pie or warm custard.

I'm preparing to buy my 4th case of Murphy wine in order to stock up for the holidays. Murphy Wine is on par with the best; and the web site is a simple, economical way to buy wine. Superb values. I think by this time, I've tasted everything. The 2005 Meritage; 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon are simply outstanding. The Cab Savs from those two excellent years (WS rates the 05 season 93 points and the 04 season 95 points) would rival any other vineyard's and you've proven that. I'm considering stocking up on these two cabernets and just holding them -- or holding two for each one I pour. Everyone at the vineyard should be proud.
Plus, the Vintage Cabernet Vertical and 2003 4-pack are outstanding values! The Vintage Cabs are great conversation pieces too.

Hi -
I'm now a loyal Murphy's Wine drinker! In June, I tried the 03 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was part of a four pack special that contained 2 Merlot and 2 Cabernet Sauvignon. That was a fantastic deal! {It's still available for $92.}
We then ordered a case of 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. It is promise fulfilled! The light, complex but subtle, low tannin 05 has now become my go-to bottle when we want to take it up a notch; and one that we reluctantly pass up when my wife and I just wish to more carelessly open a bottle and have a taste or two.
I'm now ordering my second case of the 05 Cabernet Sauvingnon -- and I may go for a third right now or spread my budget around and sample the others. I'm excited to see what you can do with Syrah and Cab Franc.

We recently tried your 2003 Cabernet at a local Loomis restaraunt, Zorro's. They have an extensive wine list and specialize in finding affordable, but great, wines.
We asked for a recommendation and ended up with your Cab. We had two couples and loved it so much we just had to have a second bottle!
I grabbed the bottle and took a picture on my phone so that I would remember the next day.We have a wine cellar full of wine and your will take it's place with Stag's Leap, Pine Ridge and Ladera!

We have a 3000 bottle wine cellar that is half full of our wine of choice, Napa Valley Cabernets. My wife and I were recently house guests with friends on the Oregon coast. I brought my recent purchase of your 2005 cab. Sitting on the deck, watching the sun sink into the sea, eating with friends, and drinking your cab was heavinly. I even poured a glass for my friend Krista who "just doesn't like red wine...." Within 5 minutes she had corrected herself. She only likes really good red wine.

We are members of the Wine Garage and were estatic to find the 2004 Red Wine amongst our selecton. So much so, that we called Kevin and asked him to send us a case. Unfortunately, he was not able to supply us with the 2004 but did say how wonderful the 2005 blend was.
Well, he wasn't kidding! We've received our case and in two days, two bottles have disappeared, right before our eyes. So much for cellaring! We look forward to a long and fruitful experience with Murphy Vineyards many other wines. We're hooked.

I tasted the 1999 Cabernet at the Cheers! St. Helena event this month, and I think my words were, "this is why people cellar their wine." Well it is indeed! The age on the wine was apparent and classy, without any compromise on fruit or acidity. I'm getting the vintage three-pack... a few times over!

I was introduced to the 03 Cab this past weekend at a friend's rehearsal dinner ---- actually, it was the after party. The groom rolled out one four pack (2 merlot and 2 cab) and the remains of a previous four pack! He had received the latter as a gift and then went and bought the other four pack himself.
I was fortunate enough to taste the 03 Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruity (currants!), light, and yet the moderate amount of tannins remind you that this is still a complex, artful wine! Delicious.
Then, when I heard about the deal (4 for $92/no shipping fee!), I knew it was too good to pass up.

"Peter Murphy has done it! This Merlot is by far one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The smell alone will relax your senses. Full-bodied with deep aromas of dark fruit and a long finish that will call you back for more. "My first experience with Peter Murphy wines was at a Capital Grill Restaurant in Houston , Texas , some 3 years go. It caught my eye the fact that on a wine list of many familiar and mass produced names, a Cabernet, which I had never heard of was reasonably priced ($65-70 range) for an upscale restaurant. I have purchased a mix case or two over the last couple of years and have always enjoyed it. Considering the freight to Texas it is still a good buy for the quality of the wines."
