Tasting Notes
Our flagship wine has classic, rich aromas of currants and blackberries that are also reflected on the palate of this complex, medium-bodied beauty. But the moderate tannins, mild astringency and smooth finish of leather and tobacco are reminiscent of Bordeaux. As a result, this wine stands out among its contemporaries.
Wine Compostition

Cabernet Franc Sierra Foothills 10%
Production notes
The 2003 growing season was even and moderate, resulting in a near-perfect harvest. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this wine hail from Larry Paraday’s vineyard on Ink Grade Road in Aetna Springs. It is a unique, three-acre, creek-side vineyard that benefits from the warmer climate in this part of Napa. The wine was aged in neutral French oak for 18 months as was the Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The varieties were blended prior to bottling. Complex and highly-structured, this wine can be aged up to 15 years.
